The second Championship-55+ 2011 which which took place from April 1 to 3 under the auspices of the 18 th tournament in memory of the legendary Rector of NSI Professor Mikhail Aleksandrov, gathered six teams from five cities in Ukraine.

The parade of participants ChU-55 +: Kiev, AMICO-1, AMICO-2, Donetsk, Zhitomir, Odessa. Teams were divided in two subgroups: A: AMICO-1, Zhitomir, Kiev and B: AMICO-2, Kiev, Donetsk. Subgroup B: Gym NUS, 01.04.16-00. Veterans of basketball Kiev and AMICO-2 opened the Championship. In the first period nikolaevets were slightly more accurate and won 17: 14 (7 Lakoshko points and Drobitsko - 8). The game took over Oleynik from Kiev - 10 points. The second and third periods AMICO-2, without reducing the pace, won with a score of 17: 11 and 19 : 11. With a stock of 53 : 36 (17 points), nikolaevets slow down because in hour it was the second game with a team of Donetsk, and lost the fourth period 13: 16. But the overall score was 66 : 52, AMICO-2 won. In this game kievlyans S. Oleynikov scored 30 points and Boris Derbentsev – 15. The winners: Lakoshko and Gamow by 18 points, Turovtsev – 11 points.
The second game started in 18-30: AMICO-2 had a game with a team from Donetsk - the last year's finalist ChU-55+ 2010. The first period took place in an equal fight, which was confirmed by a score of 13 : 13. Most active in AMICO-2 players were B. Turovtsev with 8 points, Denisov - 3, and Gamow - 2. Formidable scorers of Donetsk Yamkovoy B. and S. Galkin scored 5 and 2 points respectively, A. Griniuk – 6 points. Further, as expected, Donetsk’s veterans, led by Master of sports B. Yamkovoy, gradually seized the initiative and exercised their advantage quantitatively. Donetsk won the second period 18 : 11, the third - 13 : 12, and the fourth 16 : 2. 60 : 38. Master of sports B. Yamkovoy scored 26 points (10 penalty throws).
The next game in subgroup B, Donetsk held with veterans of Kiev and won with a difference of 6 points 59 : 53. Donetsk’s basketball occupied the first place in class B, AMICO-2 took the second and Kiev took the third, but because AMICO-2 played out of competition, Kiev continued competing for medals.
Subgroup A: 02.04. 2011, 9-00, AMICO-1 against the veterans of Zhitomir. Players AMICO-1 started to score points with the first minutes of the beginning: A.Petrov-6, S. Motsar - 1 +2, Shtanko - 2, V. Guk - 2. Apt throws of Zhitomir only did team captain S. Stebnovskii - 3 and R. Akhmetov - 2. The first period of the game Nikolaev was ahead 15: 6. In the second period scorers took the game: A. Schneider - 9 points AMICO-1 and V. Oksamytny-6 - the veterans of Zhitomir. 2 points scored by A. Petrov, S. Motsar and Yu. Zhukov from Nikolaev’s team, the veterans of Zhitomir V. Seredina scored 4 points, V. Stebnovskii and S. Belozerov scored 2. The game was equal, but Nikolaev’s team was 1 point ahead 15: 14. The third period zhitomirtsy lost the game to their more eminent contenders 8: 23. In the fourth period, with double margin points, AMICO-1 was finishing the game, giving way with a difference in three point in the final period. So, Nikolaev’s team won 63 : 41. Best snipers A. Schneider and A. Petrov scored 16 and 15 points respectively, and Zhitomir’s team distinguished by well-aimed throws of V. Oksamytny - 15, and S. Stebnovskii - 13.
02.04.2011.11-45 AMICO-1 - against veterans of Odessa.
The game began with a successful attack AMICO-1, the goals rained down as from the horn of plenty, and sometimes it seemed that the previous game with a team of Zhitomir was a warming up game. Our masters have been irresistible: Master of sports A. Schneider managed both long throws and solo passages under the ring: the result - 28 points, Master of sports Korobkov - 14 points, Master of sports A. Petrov - 12. Anesthetist V. Guk caught a spirit and pressed masters - 18 points. Team of veterans from Nikolaev won 90 : 66, and that is significant, the last point in the game Yu. Zhukov put with his traditional "triple throw", like he was congratulating himself with a 60-year-old birthday, which was celebrating on March 30. Odessits played "their game", showing skill, the will to win - the third period Odessa won 12: 11, and the fourth they lost only 2 points. The best from Odessa were V. Datsyuk - 17 points, V. Jurin - 16, I. Logishev and Yu. Snyadovsky - 9 points. A. Yakhno, following his image of truckers, tossed to the ring for four times and scored 12 points.
The next game Odessa’s team played with veterans of Zhitomir and they won pretty easy with a score of 60 : 33, they took the second place in subgroup and got the right to fight for the third place.
After the preliminary games the stronger teams began to fight for the championship medals; Zhytomyr and AMICO-2 (out of competition) overcame for 5 and 6 places.
03/04/2011, 9-00. Zhytomyr - AMICO-2, a game for 5 - 6 places
Team of Zhitomir already formally took 5th place, but this fact was not reflected in the game. Leader of zhitomirtsev S. Stebnovskii opened a score,Yu Lakoshko answered 2 + 1, N. Drobitsko and Yu. Isaenko - 2 points. V. Oksamytny implemented two penalty throws, V. Sas added 2 points. Before the break the score was 7 : 5, Zhitomir won. The second period AMICO-2 won with a minimal advantage. The third period was disastrous for zhitomirtsev: effectively played V. Turovtsev - 11 points, A. Semeiko - 8. The accurate three-point shot by B. Mikhailov was remembered. Result of the third period was 22 : 10. Total score after three periods 38 : 27, AMICO-2 won. In the fourth period teams scored as in the third, total score of 32 points (13 : 19) and again Nicholaev’s veterans won. The most productive of the winners were: B. Turovtsev - 19 points, A. Semeiko - 13, Yu. Lakoshko - 10, and Yu. Isaenko - 6. The captain of Zhitomir’s veterans № 13 Yu. Stebnovskii scored 13 points and the player № 12 V. Oksamytny - 12 points.
After the tense match bronze medals went to the veterans of the Odessa, who won in the game woth Kiev with a score 51: 49.

Kiev’s team composed of: A. Vedeneyev, S. Oleynikov, V. Gladun, A. Polikarpov, E. Kopilov and B. Derbentsev took the 4 th place.
04/03/2011, 10-30. Gym of Nikolaev University of Shipbuilding, the final game ChU-55+ AMICO-1 - Donetsk.
As in the past ChU in the age category 55+ Nikolaev and Donetsk veterans played for the title of the strongest.
The first period. Master of sports Korobkov implements two penalty throws, Petrov fouled the game - two points. Donetchanin S. Galkin ansvered a three-point throw, he was supported by V. Sergeyev and Master of sports B.Yamkovoy. Then Veterans of Donetsk stopped, and the team AMICO-1 began the rout of the opponent: V. Guk - 8 points, Korobkov - 7, A. Petrov - 4, S. Shtanko - 3 and S. Motsar and A. Schneider got 2 points. 26 : 10! Great start.
The second period. Nikolaev’s veterans resounding by their success, continued effectively to attack the ring: Master of sports A.Petrov - 10 points, V. Guk - 9, S. Shtanko - 6 and Master of sports A. Schneider - 4 – it was possible to fix the result of the first period. Donetsk’s leader Master of sports B.Yamkovoy started to play aggressively, earning 11 points, A. Griniuk - 4 and S. Galkin and V. Slabko - 2 points. The total score was 55: 29 (Nikolaev won), this meant a serious bid for the victory.
Third period. In the third period, Nikolaev’s veterans relaxed a little and lost 9 : 16, the difference was narrowed, but the total account 64 : 46 was quite favorable for AMICO-1.
The fourth period. Champions in 2010 were playing relaxed, continuing to attack the ring of Donetsk’s team: S. Shtanko - 2, A. Schneider – 3, V.Guk -2, A. Petrov - 2 and again the "triple” of A. Schneider inspired other players - the most age player of the championship L. Prokhorov attacked the ring after passing, Yu. Zhukov throwed his "triple". Donetsk’s veterans could not oppose. In the final match basketballs of AMICO-1 won 89 : 57 (Last year 88 : 73). Best scorers of the final game were the winners: B. Guk - 24 points, A. Petrov -23, S. Shtanko - 15, A. Schneider - 14. The best from silver medals team of Donetsk: B. Yamkovoy - 22 points, S. Galkin - 13, V. Slabko – 8, A.Grinyuk -7.
